Small-Group, 4th-grade math class. Meets twice a week and covers all 4th grade standards. Taught by a teacher of 14 years with 2 years of experience teaching online.

  • Meets two times per week. (M/T) or (W/TH)
  • The class structure will consist of a mini lesson, group guided practice and individual practice.
  • Questions are encouraged at all points in the lesson.
  • Lessons are designed to meet all 4th grade common core standards.

The following schedule is subject to revision depending on overall student progress. Some topics may be extended to provide additional practice.

September 19 - 25 -Number Form, Comparing, and Rounding -
September 26 - October 2 –Addition and Subtraction
October 10 - 16 – Multiplication
October 17 - 23 – Multiplication
October 24- 30 – Division
November 1 - 6 – Division
November 7-13 – Problem Solving (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, multi-step)
November 14-20 - Factors and Multiples
November 21 - 27 - Thanksgiving Week Off
November 28 - December 4 – Algebra: Patterns
December 5 - 11 – Equivalent Fractions
December 12 - 18 – Comparing Fractions
December 19 - 25 - winter break
December 26 - Jan. 1 - winter break
January 2 - 8 – Decomposing Fractions
January 9- 15 – Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Like Denominators
January 16 - 22 - Adding and Subtracting Fractions and Mixed Numbers
January 23 - 29 – Multiplying Fractions and Whole Numbers
February 1 - 5 – Problem Solving (Multiplying Fractions)
February 6 - 12 – Adding and Subtracting Fractions and Mixed Numbers
February 13 - 19 - Multiplying Fractions and Whole Numbers
February 20 - 26 - Fractions with Denominators of 10 and 100
March 1 - 5 – Converting Fractions and Decimals
March 6 - 12 – Comparing Decimals
March 13 - 19 – Multiplication by 2 and 3 digits
March 20 - 26 - Spring Break
March 27 - April 2 – Long division by 1- and 2-digit dividends
April 3 - 9 - Geometric Objects (line, point, ray, perpendicular, angles, etc.)
April 10- 16 – Classifying Shapes
April 17 - 23 – Symmetry
April 24 - 30 – Measurement Conversions
May 1 - 7 – Area and Perimeter
May 8 - 14 – Line Plots and Problem Solving
May 15 - 21 – Measuring Angles
May 22 - 28 -- Adding Angles
